By Samantha Blair | Monday, November 25, 2019

Thanksgiving is for spending time with the people you love and taking a moment to feel grateful for all that you have. Check out these opportunities to have fun with your family and friends this Thanksgiving week in Summit County.

Bond at Ready Paint Fire!

Ready Paint Fire! will be open on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Gather up all of your family members and head there to bond over painting ceramics and glass to make beautiful handmade gifts for the holidays. Beer and wine are available for sale, but you'll need to bring your own snacks.

Burn Calories at Turkey Day 5K

Those who need to balance the indulgence of Thanksgiving food with a little exercise should head to the Turkey Day 5K. Make New Friends at Friendsgiving

Highside Brewing is hosting a potluck Friendsgiving party on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The restaurant kitchen will cook four turkeys for the event, and everything else will be potluck. Check out the googledoc to see what other people are bringing, then bring what you can to help round out an afternoon of football, friends and beer.

Sip Your Way Through Wassail Days

Even though Thanksgiving is over after Thursday, the holiday spirit is alive and well. The 12th annual Wassail Days kicks off on Saturday, November 30, and runs to Sunday, December 8. Local businesses serve up unique recipes of the holiday beverage wassail. Fill your 12 Sips punch card as you browse among more than 65 businesses for a commemorative Frisco Wassail Days mug from the Frisco/Copper Visitor Information Center. There are special events every day, such as live carolers, sleigh rides and Santa visits, and the last day features the Soup Cup Classic soup competition.
