Clean up the County This Week in Summit

The snow is melting in Summit, and the county is cleaning up for the summer. Join any of the town clean-ups this weekend and check out other fun events around town.

County Clean-Ups

Frisco

Saturday, May 19, at 9 a.m. is Frisco’s Town Clean Up and Appreciation BBQ. Meet between 1st and 2nd Avenues on Main Street outside of the Frisco Historic Park & Museum to pick up cleaning materials, receive area assignments, two beverage tickets and a door prize ticket. Clean the streets, sidewalks and parks, and then enjoy a free lunch at the Frisco Historic Park provided by Safeway, 5th Avenue Grill, The Lost Cajun and Butterhorn Bakery. Outer Range Brewing Co. is donating beer. Check out the website for more event details and volunteer opportunities.

Silverthorne

Town Clean Up Day at Rainbow Park starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 19. Clean up the neighborhoods, parks, trails and business areas. Meet at the Rainbow Park Tot Lot at 9 a.m. for area assignments and free beverages provided by Red Buffalo Coffee and Tea (bring your own coffee mugs and water bottles). There will be a volunteer appreciation picnic at the park at noon.

Breckenridge

Breckenridge Town Clean Up Day starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, at the Riverwalk Center. Volunteers can pick up their materials and receive area assignments. There will be free breakfast and coffee provided by Breckenridge Market & Liquors and LoLo Juice. Following the cleanup will be an appreciation BBQ with free food, beer, live music by Home Grown Mountain Jams and raffle prizes.

Annual Recycling Event

HC3 and SCRAP are hosting their Annual Recycling Event to provide support for a county-wide Clean Up Day. Come to the drive-through at the Summit Stage Bus Barn on Saturday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to drop off items that are tough to recycle, including electronics, textiles, pharmaceuticals and household hazardous waste. Broken Compass' Birthday

On Saturday, May 19, from 10 to 11 a.m., celebrate Broken Compass Brewing’s Fourth Anniversary. They will be tapping specialty beers all day long, and guests can enjoy live music, a pig roast, cornhole tournaments, bear contests, face painting and more.

Acoustic Open Mic

Mud Season Fun
