The spring breakers have left and ski season in Summit County is winding down. Luckily, our local businesses and the resorts are still giving us the opportunity to celebrate. Take advantage of the extra daylight and get out to this week's awesome events.

On Friday, April 6, at 2 p.m. come to the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center Lawn to see a semi-professional rail jam. There will be live music from El Paso Lasso, live art demos and food and drink vendors. After, head to the Bakers’ Brewery to see The Chris Bauer Trio play from 8 to 11 p.m.

Breck’s still celebrating its month-long Spring Fever, and this Saturday, April 7, is the Breck Spring Beer Festival. Head to Main Street Station and the Village from 12 to 5 p.m. to taste beers from more than 40 breweries. Tracksuit Wedding and the Company Stores will both play live music. Purchase your tickets online.
Breck Chili Cookoff
Top chefs in Breckenridge Ski Resort and Breck Hospitality are competing in a cook off to see who makes the best chili. All chili will be made with different Anheuser-Busch beers. The cook off will begin at 11 a.m. at the Breckenridge Ski Resort at the Peak 7 Base Area. Tickets are $25 to taste all the chili and vote. Tickets will be available on site.

Sunday, April 8, is Keystone’s closing day, but they’re going out with a splash. The Slush Cup is a pond skim for adults, and there’s also a Kidtopia kids pool. The day will be full of live music, giveaways and prizes to the Best Overall Performance and Best Costume. Check online for the full schedule.
