This is the week to go big. Sign up for a big fundraiser, attend a world premier, watch (or compete in) the Big Air and/or go on a daring outdoor adventure.

80s Ski Town USA

Thursday, March 1, is the world premiere of Totally Awesome 80s Ski Town USA at Breckenridge Theater. The party musical is based on classic movies like Ski Patrol, Better Off Dead and Footloose and is playing through March 31 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are for sale online.

Snowshoe for the Cure

Snowshoe for the Cure Colorado benefits local breast care organizations and Susan G. Komen Colorado. Friday, March 2, is the Pink Party from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Frisco Community Senior Center, where you can pick up your race bibs and goody bags, play games, win prizes and snack on delicious appetizers. Saturday, March 3, at 7:30 a.m., the snowshoe event will begin at the Frisco Nordic Center, starting with a pancake breakfast and music before the competition. Sign up for three different events, including the Lil Stompers Dash, 3K route and a 5K option. Register online.

Big Air

The 10 Barrel Hella Big Air is on Saturday, March 3, at Copper Mountain. Athletes will throw themselves off a custom built 80-foot jump to try and win a portion of the $30k prize purse. The day will also include games, mini competitions and beer. Mix Master Mike will be playing a free live show.

Rockin’ Village at Keystone

The Ripperoo’s Rockin’ Village Parade is at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. Keystone staff will be passing out Kidtopia gear. Guests can jam out to tunes by Guerilla Fanfare and follow the parade float from River Run Village to Dercum Ice Rink for Cookie Time.

Adventures in Idaho Springs

This weekend, starting on Saturday, March 3, head to Idaho Springs for AVA Rafting & Zipline’s spring ziplining and Via Ferrata three-hour guided tour. Traverse cliff faces, try mountaineering and rock climbing, fly along multiple ziplines, rappel and more. A guide navigates the course while providing local history, fun facts and more.
