Independence Day Week is here in the mountains! July 4th activities are a huge attractant, but the fun doesn't stop there. This big holiday is the unofficial start to summer busy season around Summit County. Festivals and live music will be plentiful every week from here on out.
Coming up, the Second Annual Silverthorne Fine Art Festival is Friday through Sunday, July 12 through 14, on the Silverthorne Recreation Center lawn. More than 50 fine artisans will be present, selling their wares.
Then the Keystone River Run Village Art Festival is coming up on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. More than 80 artists will convene here in Keystone's River Run Village.
The same weekend, July 26 to 28, Burro Days is happening in Fairplay, Colorado. This festival attracts more than 10,000 locals and visitors to enjoy burro races, a parade, food booths and much more.
Breckenridge International Festival of Arts is planned for August 9 through 18 in downtown Breckenridge. Expect lots of live music and interactive artworks!

Holiday Events On Tap
Frisco's Fabulous 4th of July is happening from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. in downtown and at the Frisco Bay Marina.
The 36th annual Breckenridge July Art Festival is happening Thursday through Saturday, July 4 through 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The National Repertory Orchestra 4th of July Concert is happening from 10 a.m. to noon at Rainbow Park. Then the NRO will perform America's Birthday Spectacular in Breckenridge at 8 p.m. at Riverwalk Center.
BreckCreate's Street Arts: Spangled event is happening all day starting at 10 a.m. on July 4 in downtown Breckenridge.
Even though no fireworks are planned in Summit County this year, Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon is hosting Fireworks on the Big Screen starting at 9:30 p.m.
