By Caitlin Row | Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Summit County's President's Day Weekend is sure to be busy! With kids off school Monday that means a long weekend of fun in the High Country is in store for many visitors and second homeowners. It's not random that there are lots of events and things to do planned in Summit County to celebrate. That's just good planning.

Don't forget when you're out and about, posting photos to Instagram, use #EverythingSummit to share images. We repost! Here's a recent image (upper left) of Breckenridge from @that_low_life_.

And here are top picks for the week:

Daytime Fun

Women's Ski Week at Breckenridge continues through the weekend, including ski camps, lessons, demonstrations, first tracks, yoga and more. This event ends Sunday, Feb. 19.

Copper Mountain is hosting its own fun event this weekend: WinterBike! The sixth annual night mountain bike ride is planned for Saturday, Feb. 18, from 3:30-9 p.m.

Kidtopia activities are scheduled every day at Keystone Mountain Resort. Check out the Kidtopia headquarters, which is located near Dercum Ice Rink in the River Run Village. The Kidtopia scavenger hunt happens daily from 1-4 p.m. Then Cookie Time kicks off daily through ski season at 4 p.m. (also at Dercum Ice Rink).

Wine Tasting

Keystone's Winter Wine Tasting event at Warren Station is planned for Saturday, Feb. 18, from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $40 per person ($45 day of) and available for those aged 21 and older. A wine-tasting menu is available (hint: it looks pretty tasty). Live music is also planned from 7-10 p.m. with JJ Sansaverino.

Another event at Warren Station coming up – called Canvas Uncorked with Ready, Paint, Fire – is set for Saturday, Feb. 25. This gathering mixes sipping wine and making art. It's led by an instructor.

Live Music

As far as nightlife goes, there's plenty planned. Check out Groovement at Goat Soup and Whiskey at Keystone Friday, Feb. 17. Wish You Were Pink will perform at The Barkley Ballroom in Frisco on Saturday, Feb. 18. Plus The Motherloaded Tavern in Breckenridge will host live music all weekend starting Thursday, Feb. 16.
