Summit County springtime is heating up! Temperatures hovering in the mid-50s are predicted through the weekend, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. With no precipitation in the near forecast, now is the time to get outside and explore the High Country.
Spring Break is in full swing, and many folks have arrived from out of town. This means there's lots to do on the collective Summit calendar. It also means locals and visitors alike should make dinner reservations, especially for the weekend. Don't leave dinner plans to chance.
With that in mind, here are my top picks for fun things to do this week.

St. Paddy's Day
St. Patrick's Day is this Friday, March 17, but Summit County's slew of celebrations span Thursday through Saturday.
Highlights include a St. Paddy's Celebration at The Gold Pan Saloon in Breckenridge on Thursday, March 16, featuring live music, cold beer and whiskey. Friday events include St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans at the Blue Stag Saloon in Breckenridge; Duey and the Decibels at The Historic Brown in Breck; Meniskus at Snake River Saloon in Keystone; and Amoramora at The Motherloaded Tavern, also in Breck. On Saturday Keystone's Warren Station will host an event called "Distilled: Luck of the Irish," in which there will be Irish whiskeys discussions along with tastings and live music.
If you are going to partake in green beer this week, please drink responsibly and don't drive. Instead ride the bus, use Uber or call a taxi or a friend.
Fun Inside and Out
Other events planned for this week include The Werks at The Barkley Ballroom in Frisco on Thursday, March 16; Oak, Steel and Lightning at The Historic Brown; a five-course beer and food pairing with Odell Brewing Co. at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Friday; and Subaru WinterFest at Copper Mountain on Saturday and Sunday.
Winter Snowshoe Hike with Friends of Dillon Ranger District is set for Friday, March 17. The Bubble Gum Ski Race Series in Frisco is Monday, March 20. And Pride Week at Breckenridge Mountain continues through March 26.

That's a wrap!
