New Year's Eve in Summit County

We all made it through the holidays and now it’s time to think about how we want to ring in the new year. Say goodbye to 2017 and welcome 2018 with celebrations, outdoor gatherings and tons of live music this week in Summit County.

Après at A-Basin

On Saturday, December 30, The Frisco funk and blues band The Big Onions will play at A-Basin’s Sixth Alley Bar starting at 2:30 p.m. Enjoy local après entertainment after a good day on the slopes.

New Year’s Eve in the County

Here is a rundown of what's happening around Summit County on New Year's Eve on Sunday.

Copper Mountain

Copper is welcoming 2018 with a night of festivities on New Year's Eve. Don’t miss the USASA Rail Jam on Lower Bouncer, the Torchlight Parade, the Glowstick Pageant and a mountain-side fireworks display.

Breckenridge

The Town of Breckenridge will have fireworks at 9 p.m. on Main Street.

Frisco

Prosit will have live music starting at 9 p.m., featuring The Big Onions. The Frisco Funk Collective will play at the Barkley Ballroom staring at 9 p.m.

Keystone

Trout Steak Revival, the best band at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2014, and Meadow Mountain will play at the Warren Station at Keystone at 8:30 p.m. for $20 a ticket.

Full Moon Snowshoe

On Tuesday, January 2, at 5 p.m., come to the Frisco Nordic Center for a Full Moon Snowshoe adventure. FoodHedz World Cafe will be providing refreshments. Tickets are $50 for adults ages 21 and older and $40 for anyone younger than 21. Tickets include a beverage of choice, a headlamp and rentals.
