Snow Competitions, Live Music and Much More in Summit This Week

Embrace the holiday season and all that Summit has to offer. Between live music, world-class snow competitions, incredible food and Colorado-sourced shopping, there's no better way to get into the spirit than getting out and about in the County this week.

Dew Tour

Thursday through Sunday is the annual winter Dew Tour ski and snowboard competition and festival at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Watch the best of the best compete in Halfpipe and Slopestyle competitions. The Motet will headline this year’s tour on Saturday, December 15, at 7 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center.

Live Show

On Friday, December 14, head to the new 10 Mile Music Hall in Frisco to see Minnesota at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person.

Powder Hunting

Join Colorado Adventure Guide’s Powderhunt crew every Saturday to explore a new zone of untracked powder. The group is open to the public and priced at a group rate with no minimum size. The tour costs $150 per person, or you can buy a three-punch pass for $375. These tours are designed for intermediate to advanced skiers. Challenge yourself to ascend Quandary on Saturday, December 22. There will be one climb a month to the top of the local 14-er through April. Or sign up for the Women’s Backcountry Skiing 101 course on Saturday, February 16 to learn the basics.

Good Eating in Summit

Head to Vinny’s Euro-American Cuisine for a warm American-fusion, gourmet meal this weekend. Awarded Best Restaurant in Frisco 2018 by Best of Summit, Vinny’s boasts an organic, locally sourced, humanely raised and hormone free menu with vegetarian, seafood and classic American options. Happy Hour is held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday and includes a $6 tasters menu.

Coming Soon: Big Beers Festival

The Big Beers Belgian & Barleywines Festival is coming January 10 to 12. The world-class festival features renowned brewmasters and brewery owners from around the world. Craft beer lovers can enjoy a brewmaster dinner, beer and brewing seminars, and the commercial tasting event with more than 400 beers from more than 150 breweries. Tickets are available online now.
