Thanksgiving in Summit County

Thanksgiving is a big day full of food, family, friends, fabulous events and activities. November 23 is a day to give thanks, and Summit is making sure the fun keeps rolling all weekend. Find all of the many reasons to be grateful this holiday season in our beautiful community, and share the mountains and culture with those you love most.

Turkey Day 5K

With the Turkey Day 5k, get ready for a day full of eating with some fresh air and exercise. The Turkey Day 5K is held on the Summit County Rec Path. Bring a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County. Find registration and race details available online. A portion of the food proceeds will benefit the Frisco Elementary STEM program.

Thanksgiving Meals Across the County

Stop by Ten Mile Tavern, C.B. Grille or JJS for a Thanksgiving meal. The restaurants will have set menus and buffets, so you and your family can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together in the mountains without any of the work. Reservations are highly recommended. Beaver Run

On vacation? Or just don’t feel like slaving over a Thanksgiving meal this year? Beaver Run is hosting a Thanksgiving buffet feast from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Colorado Ballroom. Check out the festive menu and buy your adult and children's tickets online. A house beverage is included with each ticket. 

Other restaurants to check out for a Thanksgiving Dinner on the town this year include Quandary GrilleSalt Creek SteakhouseBoLD Restaurant and Bar and Sauce on the Maggie.

Snowcat Santa

Santa is coming and not on a reindeer. Come see St. Nick on a Pisten Bully Snowcat right before the annual tree lighting ceremony and fireworks in Center Village.

#OptOutside Beach Party

FDRD and REI are hosting an A-Basin Beach Party. Don’t waste your time at the mall. Take a few turns and stop by the tent for pizza and games from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Welcome Winter at Keystone

Keystone is welcoming winter with a Family Carnival and Lighting of River Run. Adults can dance the night away and sip on festive cocktails, beer and drinks while kids make crafts and get their faces painted. Free kettle corn and hot cocoa give the event a true carnival feel. Chris Thompson & Coral Creek will play Bluegrass and Americana classics. Don’t miss the Tree Lighting at River Run at 6 p.m.         

Free Coffee? Yes, Please!

Mugshot Cafe, located Alpine Sport’s airport location in Breckenridge, is giving locals and visitors alike another reason to be thankful. Its offerings free coffee this Friday through Sunday, November 24 through 26, to everyone that mentions Everything Summit. Head over there and get caffeinated, folks!
