'Tis the Season in Summit!

It looks like mid-winter out here in Summit. With continuous fresh snowfall, the county has the perfect backdrop for all the holiday happenings over the next week!

Frisco

Wassail Days

The 11th annual Wassail Days are happening through Sunday, December 9. Sip on the classic hot spiced cider at stops all along Frisco Main Street. Fill out your 12 Sips of Wassail Card and turn it in at the Information Center for a commemorative mug.

Silverthorne

Holiday Celebration

Silverthorne is hosting its Holiday Celebration this Friday, December 7, on the Performing Arts Center Lawn. From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. there will be holiday activities, carolers, hot cocoa and treats. At 5:30 p.m. they will light the town tree. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., people can take photos with Santa, and at 6 p.m. there will be story time at Red Buffalo Café with holiday crafts and snacks.

Angry Santa Party

This Friday, December 7, is the Angry Santa Party at Angry James Brewery. The best “bad” Santa costume will win tickets to Cypress Hill, and there will be lots of runner-up prizes. Hobo Village will be performing at 7 p.m.

Keystone

The Nutcracker

See The Nutcracker Suite and Holiday Showcase on Saturday, December 8, at Warren Station at Keystone. The show will be performed by the Summit School of Dance and the CO Motion Dancers. Choose one of two showtimes: a matinee at 3:30 p.m. or an evening performance at 6:50 p.m. Purchase tickets here.

Breckenridge

Lighting of Breck

Saturday, December 8, is the Lighting of Breckenridge. From 3 to 9 p.m. enjoy festive activities, including creating your own ornaments, a holiday dog parade, the Race of the Santas, the lighting of the tree and caroling karaoke.

Dillon

Ice Castles

The Ice Castles are back in Dillon this year! This is a stunning display of twinkling lights in 25 million pounds of ice, sculpted into an acre-large ice castle. As long as the weather cooperates, the castles should be open before Christmas! Keep your eyes open for ticket details and opening times.

Coming Soon: Big Beers Festival

The Big Beers Belgian & Barleywines Festival is coming January 10 to 12. The world-class festival features renowned brewmasters and brewery owners from around the world. Craft beer lovers can enjoy a brewmaster dinner, beer and brewing seminars, and the commercial tasting event with more than 400 beers from more than 150 breweries. Tickets are available online now.
