Spring in Summit This Week

Spring has arrived, and the warm weather is here! A variety of events are happening this week – everything from trivia night and a fundraiser to a demo day and a beach party. Mark your calendars and celebrate the changing of the seasons.

NoLo Mill Preservation Fundraiser

Breckenridge Distillery and North London Mill Preservation are teaming up to preserve and manage the historic buildings of the North London Mill with the proceeds from a fundraiser dinner at the distillery on March 22 from 4 to 9 p.m. They plan to restore the historic buildings to act as accommodations for back-country adventurers. Proceeds – 10% of restaurant sales and 100% percent of boozy punch sales – will go toward the mill. There will also be door prizes. Trivia Night

Rita’s is known for its epic margaritas and delicious tacos. Come in at 8 p.m. on Thursdays for a bite to eat and a drink and to test your trivia skills.

Women of Bill’s Ranch Tour

Learn the history of women pioneers in the area on the Women of Bill’s Ranch Tour on Saturday, March 24, at 10 a.m. Hear about the origins of the residential area and explore original pioneering cabins from the 20th century. Reservations are required. Call the Frisco Historic Park and Museum at (970) 668-3428 to reserve your spot.

Snow Beach Party

On Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. is the 10 Barrel Snow Beach Party in Burning Stones Plaza at Copper Mountain. There will be a gelande quaffing tournament, $10,000 worth of giveaways, life-size lawn games and live music from DJ Logic.

Save Our Snow

Save Our Snow and Demo Day will be at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Saturday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mountain Goat Plaza. The 10th annual event invites people to meet the Green Team and get to know A-Basin’s sustainability initiatives. There will be a tent village with Colorado eco-conscious businesses, a prize drawing and a silent auction. Donate $10 to demo some of the latest gear. All proceeds will benefit the High Country Conservation Center.

Plan Ahead

Don’t miss an incredible Easter Sunday Brunch at Spencer’s Restaurant in Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center on Sunday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a chilled buffet including fruit, yogurt, cream cheese, smoked salmon, shrimp and more. There will also be a carving and pasta station, a hot buffet and a pastry and dessert station. Expect plenty of candy for the kids, too.
