Summit is Alive with Summer Vibes

It's the first full week of June and Summit County is in full summer mode. Every town is coming alive this weekend with festivals, markets, openings and more. You know what they say: "Come for the winter. Stay for the summers." Catch some sunshine and see why Summit is the place to be even in the warmer months.

Farmers Market

The Farmers Market is here! Head to West Lodgepole Street in Dillon every Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for fresh, seasonal, Colorado-grown produce, live music, artisan goods and more.

Summer Opening Day

Friday, June 8, is Opening Day for the summer at Keystone and Breckenridge Ski Resort. The lifts will be running, Epic Discovery adventures await at Breck, and various programming will now be available at Keystone.

Colorado Days

It’s opening weekend at Copper and they’re celebrating with Brews & Tunes on Friday, June 8, and Colorado Days on Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10. On Friday there will be live music from Umberto Fonte on the West Lake Stage and life-sized lawn games in Apres Alley from 5 to 7 p.m. During the weekend, come to Burning Stones Plaza in Center Village to experience some of the Centennial State’s best vendors, live music and food. Spend $15 in any Copper store or restaurant to get a free summer day pass. Check out the official page for awesome giveaways and a full schedule of events and performers.

National Marina Day

On Saturday, June 9, head down to the Frisco Bay Marina from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to celebrate National Marina Day. From 8 to 10 a.m. the Frisco Rowing Center will be offering a free breakfast and an introduction to rowing. Then, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the marina will offer free 20-minute paddleboard, kayak and canoe demos. There will also be a Boat Swap where people can trade, sell, buy and barter different kinds of boats, rafts and paddleboards. Check the website for more details.

Summer Kickoff

Come to Trent Park from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, for the Kids' Fishing Derby. Bring your poles, bait and tackle. There will be door prizes and hot dogs for all. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. go to Rainbow Park for the Safe Summer Kickoff. There will be helmet fittings, fire and water safety demonstrations and lots of giveaways. Guests can also use the rec center for free all day!

Lake Dillon Beer Fest

More than 25 world-class Colorado craft breweries will serve their tasty beverages this Saturday, June 9, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Dillon Marina Park. There will be food for purchase. Click here for information.
